The Admissions Process

Brookwood's admissions process is designed to help us learn as much as possible about each prospective student and to have prospective students and parents learn as much as possible about Brookwood.

Below is an outline of the admissions process. Please contact us at anytime if you have questions.

INQUIRE
If you are interested in learning more about Brookwood School, fill out our online inquiry form or call the Admissions Office at 978-526-4500.

VISIT
The best way to learn about Brookwood is to visit the School and experience first-hand this dynamic community.  Tours are scheduled on an individual basis and are also offered at our annual Open Houses.

APPLY
We recommend submitting your online application as soon as possible, but preferably by January 15.  If you have a child who is applying to Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, we recommend submitting your application earlier because of the limited spaces available in the playgroups. Families who have submitted an application will receive a call from the Admissions Office to schedule their child’s visit.  These visits take place in January and February.

The application fee is $50, however applications received by December 15 will receive a $25 discount.

TRANSCRIPT RELEASE AND STUDENT EVALUATION FORMS
Please download the appropriate forms and pass them along to your child’s school. All forms are due by February 1. Click to access the online forms.

INTERVIEW
Parent meetings allow us to get to know your family and child individually, and to answer any questions you may have.  We recommend completing the application before scheduling this meeting, however this isn’t required.

STUDENT VISITS AND ASSESSMENTS
The Admissions Office contacts families once an application is received to schedule student visits. Click for details by entry grade.

Brookwood seeks to enroll students with a broad range of backgrounds, talents, and interests who will benefit from the School’s academic program and child-centered environment and who will contribute positively to the school community.  The ability to find success in school life and a willingness to engage positively with the school community are the main criteria for admission. Additionally, admissions decisions at Brookwood are shaped by a number of factors including gender balance, diversity, and the consideration of alumni/ae and current families.

Admission to Brookwood is based on academic and personal qualifications. The School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, family structure, gender identity, sexual orientation, and religion in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid and loan programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs.
